The Lone and Level Sands Novel
As part of a family book challenge, I wrote The Lone and Level Sands in 2016, a reboot of the Epic of Gilgamesh. It’s a ripped-from-the-headlines novella of politics, exploits, celebrity, and technology in contemporary Chicago. This enduring story about friendship, existentialism, and a quest for immortality is as fresh and relevant today as it was during its first telling more than 4,000 years ago. Read it here.
